Jennifer called me tonight to ask for some verses to cling to and to ask for prayer. Dear friend, you were a sustaining force for me after the hurricane and chaos that was my life in 2004 when I didn't know what the future held for us. It is a comfort to know that Lord was directing our path. I am so glad the kids learned Psalm 121 in Sunday School at Covenant and they got a poster with the words on it, we still have it hanging on a wall in the hallway.
I lift up my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed,he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not hard you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life; your coming and going both now and forever more. AMEN!!!
I find myself wanting to say that the Lord has not kept you from all harm, but that would make a liar out of the word of God and so I know that no matter what today and tomorrow looks like that God is your help. I am praying for you and Kevin, your children Jessica, Amanda, Chrissy and Jacob.

How important it is for us to pray for our friends... and let them know we are praying for them... even when they cannot. I just memorized Psalm 121:3-4... it is powerful to know that God never sleeps!
What beautiful words you have written for your dear friend. As I am studying Beth Moore's Esther - It's Tough Being a Woman, I find comfort in the letter you have shared with Debbie. Draw near to God and he will draw nearer to you.
