Are there patterns in your life?
Yesterday's 2cnd and 3rd grade Sunday School lesson was an excellent one that I am still pondering today.
God's provision
Man's grumbling, complaining
Man's rebellion
God's judgement
God's judgement
God's mercy
God's provision....
It is an elementary idea, this concept of patterns
5, 10, 15 , 20, __,__
@$#,@#$,@#___
But how is the pattern being repeated in my life?
Of course this all relates to Sister Sherri's post on stones of remembrance.
It is very encouraging to look back on the times of provision in our life, not so much on the pattern that comes after.
Which reminds me of Romans and doing that which .....
You all know the verse.
And then the verse I just shared with my 4 year old when she was pointing out the meanness of someone else....
We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
How do I even get up in the morning?
But if I remember the question presented in each Sunday School class,
Does the story end there?
We always have the promise of Hope in God's Goodness, Faithfulness and Mercy and that is always a good place to end.

That is pretty deep Em....gives me some food for thought today when you compared behavioral patterns in our life to mathematical patterns.
Oh ....and that's a really cool tree in your picture. Looks like it would be fun to climb.
Good thoughts! I am comforted by patterns... especially God's faithfulness.
