Still more tears

Alleluia! Christ being raised from the dead will die no more; death has no more dominion over him. This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Alleluia!
Romans 6 : 9, Psalm 118 : 24

You'd think that after almost a year that I could sing this song without crying and even though I don't remember the song when we start it,as soon as the song gets to the part I highlighted I tear up for myself and then for Stephen.
For myself, because regularly I listen the bully and think that there is no hope of me ever getting any better....but God's word says that I am better, I am getting better and I will get better because Christ did win the victory over the power and death of Satan.
For Stephen because he has no guilt in the life he lead, he had no fear in death and Jesus commanded his destiny from baby to his death. No scheme of man took that away from him and he was called home to stand with Christ. Tears, tears and more tears.
In Christ Alone by Stuart Townsend
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all-in-all
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Til on that Cross, as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
'Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand
Here in the power of Christ alone

When Christ had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

So glad we have a "big brother"! Just wish we could see Him punch that little bully in the nose.

I'm so glad we have sisters, too! Love to you!

There are triggers all around that remind us of those who are gone and how we miss them. Just as your song says "In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song."

The bully has been around here lately too - he really needs to shut his mouth, wouldn't you agree?

This comment isn't really for publishing, I just wanted to invite you to check out my Christian poetry blog. I noticed some of your writing and thought you might enjoy or be touched by the poetry I have written.

Keep living for God.
