Pants up to the knees

One day last week Josh was running late on his way home from work and so he just wore his work uniform when he went with me to take the boys to swim team practice. No big deal, the critter gitter dad wears his "uniform" and most of the time it looks like he has been doing his critter gittering in some pretty tall weeds. Anyway, even though there was a cool breeze blowing while we sitting there watching Elise do ballerina twirls in the kiddie pool and the boys were doing their laps Josh hikes his pant legs up to his knees and kicks back to a most relaxed position. I said okay, Mike O'Donnell, you can put your pant legs down now. 12 years ago when Josh, Mike and I worked at Cracker Barrel #44 Mike would sit in the break room taking a cool down break by pulling his pant legs up to his knees. So when Mike decided to join the blog bandwagon my first thought was to use the link name "to the knees Mike" but Josh later informed me it wasn't descriptive enough and would not be understood. Ah, the problems of trying to be clever if you're not as bright as you try to be. Sure enough, Mike asked what that was all about today. Sorry. I will try to come up with something clever a week from now. While I haven't been checking out blogs, this is my second post for the day and I'm sure I should be doing devotions or reading something instead of spending my day in frivolity. Wish I had a picture to put with this post but Josh wouldn't pose tonight and nothing on Google images even comes close. You'll have to use your imagination.

I am so crackin up!!!! I can't even believe you remember that! I have to say, I didn't think anyone ever even paid attention to me in that place, let alone notice me hikin up my pants to cool off. The funniest part of this is that I do it everyday on my way home from work while I am waiting for the slow air conditioning to cool down my hot truck! Emily, I must say, YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY!! I am still crackin up! Unbelievable! I can't stop laughing! Have a safe trip and I look forward to your future posts.

You can leave it! Now that I get the joke. If it brings a giggle or laugh to your day like it did mine, keep it.
