Several thoughts were floating around in my head as I circumnavigated our section of town this morning.
Christmas lists
#1 ME, what do I want? Egyptian Cotton Sheets, a Front Loading Washing Machine...
A large portion of the world sleeps on the ground and wash their clothes by hand and I want some sheets that are $100 bucks a pop? I suppose Maybeline Mascara will do.
Blessings
Some people are blessed with large amounts of money and use it more foolishly than even me but God still blesses them with more. What's up with that? How has God blessed me that I don't even realise and is it something that other people look at with desire. Yuck, I can't imagine anyone wanting anything I have. At this point I'm sure Josh is saying what about me...okay, I have a wonderful husband and a delightful marriage and that is not a common gift and I am thankful. The kids are nice and good but man are they a lot of work.

isn't it funny when people say something to you like..."i'd love to have your..." or "i wish i was more like you because..."
p.s.
i, too, want things even though i know there are others who have nothing. and i, too, waste blessings that have been bestowed upon me. i just love reading your posts...they are so insightful...so you!
Thanks...so do you fight the wastefulness when you see it or leave that thought for another Bat time another Bat channel?
I found you! It took me long enough to figure out how to find your blog, but am happy to see it now. Hey, how did you add the counter thingy?
Remembering warm January in Jacksonville...
XXXOOO
Yeah Deb! Thanks for giving me a smile tonight! You can click on my counter and add in your customize part of your blog. Google free counter and you can find some other ones. My friend Robin has a nice one.
I covet everything! I want your creativity and gumption to make homemade pizza dough!!!
God has been better to me than I will ever deserve, but I don't question the blessings. His sovereignty is mysterious....but never wrong.
I do think of the verse that talks about the first shall be last and the last shall be first. I guess I should really count my blessing now, because I have a feeling I will be far back in that line....you know what I'm saying?
I've been wanting to respond to your post - I've typed up something 4 times and deleted it each time, I just kept rambling and it wasn't coming out right. I am so thankful for what God has given me...but how about you and I merged our lives for a day that way I can know what if feels like to have a little one crawl in my lap and call me mommy....and you can enjoy a high thread count bed?
I'm a taker on the one, Gloria.....
I meant, I'm a taker on THAT one, Gloria......
wife swap, anyone?
lol
I fight the thoughts of wastefullness all the times. Especially living on such a tight budget. Everything has to be considered and weighted. Do I save the few bucks and drink coffee at home, or do I splurge and have that caramel macchiato at Starbucks?
covergirl masacara w/eyeliner set was only $6.99 at Target tonight- instead of sheets maybe I'll splurge on a new foam pillow for Josh.
