13 years and counting

This morning I made sausage links, sausage gravy, drop biscuits and eggs even though traditionally we celebrate our anniversary at Cracker Barrel where Josh and I met. We figured maybe it cost us $7 to feed the family this morning instead of the $30+ that dining out would have set us back....not to mention that Josh wanted to order an Uncle Hershel's which would have cost us a new pair of pants because he wouldn't be able to fit into the ones he has after eating all that food. More than remember the day we got married I am remembering the first time I met Josh. Refilling my sugar containers w/ equal amounts of sugar packets, equal and sweetnlow Josh asked me out on a date. I really don't remember actually meeting him before that but I do remember hastily saying yes just so I wouldn't get sidetracked remembering everything I had to do at that new waitress job. We went to Chili's on our date and while we were waiting for our table we had a great discussion about politics and religion and I remember thinking he is the easiest person in the world to talk to. He still is. We went to see Sleepless in Seattle after dinner and then we went to Julie's bar where all the Cracker Barrel employees hung out. It was a wonderful date and a wonderful 13 years.

Congratulations! I am also thankful that you worked at Cracker Barrel and met Robin and Michael. Isn't it neat how God moves people around so that they can connect?
Merry Christmas,you two.

Happy Anniversary! Arthur and I are approaching our 10 year soon. On our first date, we went to see a movie at a theater that has been torn down and then went to a TCBY afterwards that no long exists. It was the night before the Jacksonville snowfall in 1989.

good thinks happen or happened at cracker barrel. remember the saying, meet your spouse at the waffle house...your's would be, meet your spouse at cracker barrel. it doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?
glad God brought you and Josh together...you are a perfect couple.

You all are blessed. I'm so glad to hear someone else recognizes their dating anniversary. We just had 14 years on December 3rd. On our first date we went to the beach at midnight and watched the moon over the ocean.....we might have kissed a little, too:)
