Northanger Abbey

After I took the Jane Austen quiz and found out that I most resembled Catherine Morland I hot footed it to the library and picked up Northanger Abbey. That was three weeks ago and I am only half way through the book. It was due back yesterday...unfortunately all the libraries were closed because of the yearly training day the city does for the library. This will be the third book I have read this year... hopefully not the last. What are you reading?

When I saw your quiz results I thought about reading Northanger Abbey too. That is one Jane Austen book I haven't ready yet.

I started the year on a reading note but have it a plateau. I've been reading Facing Your Giants by Max Lucado for the last several weeks. I should have been done with it by now, but just can't seem to get into the rhythm of it. It's a good read overall, I'm into King David right so I like the topic and how it applies to our life today. I'm going up to Philadelphia next week so I am looking forward to a couple of straight uninterrupted airplane hours to devote to reading.

Gracelin O'Malley by Ann Moore
(book club reading)
I started to read Giants by Edna Ferber, but didn't get very far. It sounded wonderful, but I guess I was too distracted.

Im reading Sanity in the Summertime, How to get Organized and Like Dandelion Dust. I will also read Speed cleaning sometime soon.

Only a few minutes here and there, but we'll see how it all works out.

I'm reading "A Woman Jesus Can Teach". Excellent book on women in the New Testament and their interaction with the Savior.
