Spring Up a Well

This picture is Stewart and his friend Joey at Salt Springs,According to the recreation area brochure, there are actually 9 vertical shaft vents. The combined flow from these vents is around 52,000,000 gallons per day ("Salt Springs Recreation Area, 1999).

At DeLeon Springs, the sulfur spring flows at a rate of about 20 million gallons a day. I tried hard to find the picture of us at DeLeon Springs...with the Troisi's (of course) but no luck. We met them there a few years back, had pancakes at the grist mill there, swam in the spring and then had lunch together before parting our ways.
My verse of the day got me thinking about Springs. The amount of water flowing out of them is mind boggling. "Where does all that water go?" asked Stewart. The same can be asked of all that "living water" the scripture speaks of. I am glad that it is and will always be welling up unto eternal life. Stewart just said my singing isn't that good so I'll leave that old song for you to sing to yourself....I've got a River of Life Flowing out of Me,
Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see...
opens Prison Doors, Sets the Captives Free....
I've got a River of Life Flowing out of Me.

That's a deep thought...where is all the water going? Where is all the water in the river of life going in my life....is it springing up (gush, gush, gush)? A simple phrase with big impact to think about.
