Wate'er My God Ordains

Whate’er my God ordains is right:
His holy will abideth;
I will be still whate’er He doth;
And follow where He guideth;
He is my God; though dark my road,
He holds me that I shall not fall:
Wherefore to Him I leave it all.

Yesterday was a full day.
Woke up at 4:45 to head to the Y.
Stopped by Bojangles on the way home to pick up a birthday breakfast for Josh since I wouldn't make it home in time to make him one. But when I got home at 6:40, Stewart and John-Thomas were in the kitchen starting breakfast...they didn't know of my fattening plan to stop and get an egg and cheese biscuit for their dad.
After breakfast, Elise and John-Thomas help me start the carrot cake that would be taken to dinner.
Then it was time to get lunch ready for Jenette and Gloria and an afternoon of great conversation with friends from highschool youth group.
Pick up Yohanna from school
Ice the cake
Go to my mom's for dinner
Immediately after dinner go to small group to hear the Matthew's plan to go to China to be missionaries.
Normally my day is a lot less structured...my hat goes off to you ladies who go from dawn to dusk with events and meetings and car pools.
I don't know why those hymn words came to me this morning when I tried to sit down and write a post. Mainly, my thoughts were on the friendships with Jenette and Gloria and the paths that God has taken them on...20 years ago we never would've guessed that. I'm sure the next 20 will be just as unexpected
