So Strong and So Mighty

"O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress"
- Isaiah 33:2
All this week on Air1 they have played a new song by Matthew West and he has read the letter he recieved that the song was based upon. Today's song was Strong Enough
Next week will be a year anniversary and we are not strong enough to wake up in the morning and remember but we don't need to be strong enough.  In the middle of our weakness it is hard to fathom the strength to press on and focus on Who is stong and mighty instead of what we don't have. But is really very simple and while I was listening to Strong Enough I was reminded of the children's song...

Our God is so Big so strong and so mighty there's nothing our God can not do
The mountains are His, the valleys are his the stars are his handiwork too,
Our God is so Big so Strong and so mighty there's nothing our God can not do ........For You!
For a more poetic mature audience the hymn by Horatius Bonar fits also very nicely
O LOVE OF GOD, HOW STRONG AND TRUE

Phillipians 4:13,................. I don't have to be strong enough....neither do you!

“Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.” Romans 8:38-39

I JUST bought Matthew West's new cd today! I'll be thinking of you when I listen to that song. And praying for you, too. May God be your strength and your song.
