Eternal Encouragement

Overwhelmed by extreme caffeine intake, FLVA coursework my brain pounding and eyes excruciatingly aware of housework, my mantra yesterday was "I'm freaking out." When the pressure of relationships and my to do list reached danger levels the phone rang.
"Hello," I say in my most calm and lovely voice.

"This is Air1, is Joshua Gideon there?" a more calm and lovely voice asks.

"Yes he is," I reply as I hand the receiver to Josh and tell him, "Air1 is on the phone for you." After a very short exchange Josh hung up the phone and told me they just called to pray for us. Today's verse of the day is the source of what happened last night. God's sovereignty kicked open the door of my self absorption and showed me where my focus should be.
"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. " 2 Thessalonians 2 : 16-17 image taken from not endorsement of site cool pix though

I love those moments when I realize, it's not about me it's all about Him.
Did you read My Utmost for today? Same thing. Joy is not happiness. I have to remember that. Be of good cheer, sister, He has overcome the world. Love ya!

I am so there with you...
"Hello," I say in my most calm and lovely voice.
I must admit, I have done that.
